Eliana Pipes’s “DREAM HOU$E”
We are so proud to have been developing “DREAM HOU$E” with eliana since its inception.
Checkmark has been a fan of Eliana since our founding, so it makes sense that she was the first artist we invested in to develop her newest play from its first draft, to its first public presentation—and now, its first full production!
After an incredibly successful 29-Hour Workshop, we are thrilled to be continuing the developmental process with Eliana by producing a one-night-only production of DREAM HOU$E on June 12th at Ars Nova’s ANT Fest! You can support DREAM HOU$E’s journey to ANT Fest and ensure that all the artists involved are compensated fairly for their time by donating via the link below!
A bit about the play:
Two Latinx sisters on an HGTV-style show are selling their family home, hoping to capitalize on the gentrification in their “changing neighborhood.” In the process they discover details of the family’s past and the potential for their future, forcing them to grapple with what’s lost and gained in the quest for upward mobility.
